The Spice Girls might be gearing up for a major reunion, and Melanie C has just dropped a huge hint that has fans buzzing with excitement. As the legendary girl group approaches the 30th anniversary of their debut single “Wannabe” in 2026, speculation is growing that a world tour could be on the horizon.

Hints of a Reunion

While things have been relatively quiet in the Spice Girls camp, Melanie C recently hinted at big plans for the group. Speaking on The Jimmy & Nath Show on Australia’s 2Day FM, she revealed that she, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, and Melanie B are discussing something special to celebrate the milestone.

“It’s 30 years next year since the release of ‘Wannabe.’ We have to do something special,” Melanie C said. “Obviously, I can’t say too much, but we are talking about things. Hopefully, a nice little world tour!”

A Global Celebration in the Works?

This latest tease comes shortly after Melanie B also spoke about possible reunion plans. In a chat with Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1, she emphasized that the Spice Girls are in discussions about marking the 30-year milestone with a fitting tribute.

“There has to be something befitting of 30 years since ‘Wannabe,’” she said. “Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl. We all feel like that, but we now are getting together because we know if we’re going to do anything, we have to start planning things to get things right. We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed.”

The Legacy of ‘Wannabe’

First released in July 1996, “Wannabe” quickly became a cultural phenomenon. It dominated the Official Singles Chart in the UK for seven consecutive weeks and has accumulated 2.74 million chart units in the country. The track remains one of the most-streamed songs from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, solidifying its place in pop music history.

When Was Their Last Performance?

The last time all five Spice Girls performed together was at the 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony in London, a moment that thrilled fans worldwide. However, in 2019, Geri, Emma, Melanie C, and Melanie B reunited for the Spice World stadium tour, performing across the UK and Ireland. Despite Victoria Beckham’s absence, the tour was a massive success, reigniting nostalgia for longtime fans and introducing the group to a new generation.

Will All Five Spice Girls Return?

One of the biggest questions surrounding a possible tour is whether Victoria Beckham will rejoin the group. Since stepping away from music, she has focused on her fashion empire, often expressing gratitude for her time with the Spice Girls but remaining noncommittal about performing again.

However, fans remain hopeful. If a 30th-anniversary celebration is indeed in the works, the possibility of all five members reuniting for a once-in-a-lifetime event cannot be ruled out.

What’s Next?

With multiple hints being dropped by Melanie C and Melanie B, it’s clear that discussions are happening behind the scenes. While no official announcement has been made yet, the excitement surrounding a potential Spice Girls tour is growing. If their 2019 tour’s success is any indication, a 30th-anniversary world tour would be a monumental moment in pop culture.

So, for now, fans will have to hold tight, but with 2026 fast approaching, the wait for official news might not be too long!
