Kelsey Parker, podcast host and widow of The Wanted singer Tom Parker, has shared the devastating news that her baby son, Phoenix, has died. In a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday, Parker revealed that her son was “born sleeping.”

The 34-year-old, who had announced her pregnancy earlier this year, posted a simple but powerful poem titled “For Phoenix, Born Sleeping, Forever Loved” alongside a caption that read: “Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, you will forever be loved.” The baby was her first child with partner Will Lindsay.

The heartbreaking announcement on Instagram has drawn widespread sympathy online, with friends, followers, and fellow celebrities flooding her comments with messages of love and support. Yet Parker made clear that her family needs space to grieve privately. In a follow-up Instagram Story, she thanked everyone for their well wishes but asked for “understanding and space” during this painful time.

“Before I receive an influx of lovely messages and heartfelt well wishes, I want to just say that I truly appreciate everything you are all going to say and share,” she wrote. “But with the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that we as a family are given space and time to process this devastating and earth-shattering news. I love you all and thank you for your understanding and space.”

Kelsey is already a mother to five-year-old Aurelia and four-year-old Bodhi, children she shared with her late husband Tom Parker. Tom tragically died in 2022 at the age of 33, following a battle with an inoperable brain tumour. Since his passing, Kelsey has been open about the challenges of grief and single parenthood, and she has become a vocal advocate for brain tumour awareness, even organising charity football matches in Tom’s memory.

Earlier this year, Kelsey revealed she was expecting a child with her partner Will Lindsay. While some welcomed her new relationship and celebrated her journey of healing, she also spoke about the emotional toll of online criticism, particularly from those who questioned her decision to move forward with her life.

“I’m always going to have guilt,” she said in a previous interview. “But what’s so hard is that Tom’s not here anymore—so what do people want me to do? Our house was full of so much sadness, but now it’s full of happiness. The kids deserve that more than anything.”

Parker’s resilience has been admired by many, particularly as she continued to parent her young children while navigating personal grief in the public eye. She co-hosts the popular podcast Mum’s the Word! with model Georgia Jones, where the two share parenting stories, challenges, and guest interviews with fellow mums.

In recent months, her fans had followed her pregnancy updates with hope, many of them cheering her on as she rebuilt her life and embraced new beginnings. News of baby Phoenix’s death has now cast a sombre shadow, with many expressing shock and sadness over the tragic loss.

Stillbirth—when a baby dies before or during delivery—is a deeply painful experience, and those who go through it often face it in silence. By publicly acknowledging her grief, Kelsey Parker has once again shown vulnerability and strength, continuing a legacy of honesty that has drawn others to her story.

As her family mourns the loss of baby Phoenix, Kelsey’s message is clear: this is a time for privacy, remembrance, and healing.

For now, she asks only for empathy and space.

“Love always, Kelsey, Will and The Parker Family.”
