Who is Quin Schrock?
Quin Schrock is a Southern California-based outdoor adventure photographer. Quin used to spend his leisure time outdoors skating, surfing, and testing the boundaries of legal backflip places. Quin still finds nothing more enjoyable than playing outside because of the sense of wonder and freedom he experienced in nature as a child. Nevertheless, he now carries a camera with him!
Quin, who has always followed his own path, portrays the adventurous human spirit interacting with various, isolated, and off-the-beaten-path environments in his distinctive photographic style. Quin genuinely enjoys living on the edge, and his imaginative compositions reflect the excitement and anticipation he has for each new location and adventure. He connects with over a million followers on Instagram.

Quin Schrock’s Prominent Campaigns
National Geographic
This is the Australian Alps, also known as the "Stairway to Heaven" (most likely where you'll end up if you lose your footing!). And who better for National Geographic to hire to take this breathtaking photograph of the "iron way" than daredevil Quin Schrock himself?
The ladder makes up a section of the Grosser Donnerkogel via ferrata, Italian for "iron way." It is a path built into a mountain's rock face, complete with fixtures like metal rungs, which follow a secured cable. The term gained popularity during World War I to aid soldiers to navigate high altitudes. These days, the paths let climbers without technical skills to access exceptional summits and vistas that were not possible in the past.
SONY
The 27-year-old Quin Schrock travels around the world and takes photos while jumping off cliffs, skateboarding, backpacking, and anything that pushes his physical limits. He has always considered himself an adrenaline junkie, and at some point, he wanted to capture the feeling that he loved so much.
He did that by using a Sony a7R II, a 42MP full-frame mirrorless camera with 5-axis image stabilization. Sony Alpha reached out to him since he was hashtagging his photos, and he was both honored and surprised to be chosen as part of the Sony Alpha Collective.
It was a lot of fun getting to know his fellow travel vloggers and seeing the various styles that they have. What blew his mind was that they were going to the same locations but somehow came away with totally different photos.
Hydro Flask
Quin used to think he would just sit behind a desk and that would be his job for the rest of his life. He never thought he would divert from that route. These days he calls himself a professional road tripper. He loves the freedom and adventure his work gives him, and it makes him feel good to be different. Whether it's skateboarding or surfing, he wants to share these moments to inspire others to chase the feeling of being alive and pursue their innermost passions.
This is why Hydro Flask is the best partner to team up with in all his adventures. Whether it's keeping your water icy cold on a hot, sunny beach or serving up hot coffee on a chairlift ride, Hydro Flask is up for the task. It's not just there for the ride. It's there to help make your ride awesome!
