The family of Jiggly Caliente, beloved RuPaul’s Drag Race alum and judge on Drag Race Philippines, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses and celebrate her life after her passing on April 27. The drag icon, born Bianca Castro-Arabejo, died peacefully, according to a statement released by her loved ones.

Caliente rose to fame on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race and returned for All Stars 6. In recent years, she became a prominent voice in the drag community as a “resident judge” on Drag Race Philippines, earning respect for her wit, heart, and unapologetic authenticity. Her influence in the LGBTQ+ world was felt deeply both on-screen and off.

Just days before her death, her family revealed that Jiggly had experienced a “serious health setback,” which led to the loss of most of her right leg due to complications from an infection. Despite this devastating health crisis, her death still came as a shock to many who had admired her resilience and presence.

In the wake of her passing, her family has turned to the public to help fulfill her final wish: a vibrant celebration of life that reflects her fearless spirit. The GoFundMe campaign, which aims to raise $100,000, is intended to support both medical expenses and the cost of a private and public memorial.

As of this writing, more than 580 individuals have contributed to the fundraiser, helping the family reach nearly 25 percent of their goal. The campaign has become a space for fans and loved ones to share memories, offer support, and express their gratitude for the joy Jiggly brought into their lives.

A heartfelt message shared on Instagram by her family describes Jiggly as more than a performer. “Jiggly Caliente was so much more than a star or a trailblazer. She was our sister, our friend, our fierce protector, our biggest laugh in the room,” the post reads. “She wore her heart on her sleeve and gave every piece of herself to the world—her strength, her beauty, her humor, her truth. And she asked for so little in return: just to be seen, to be loved, and to be able to love back.”

The message promises that the upcoming celebration will be “a true reflection of her spirit” and a tribute to the “incredible, unstoppable life she lived.”

“Thank you for every bit of love you gave her. Thank you for being part of her story. She loved hard—and was loved hard in return,” the post concludes.

Tributes from across the drag and entertainment communities have continued to pour in. Michelle Visage, a longtime judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race, shared a moving tribute on Instagram, posting a photo of herself with Caliente at DragCon. “My jiggles… The laughter was endless, our talks were special, your energy was contagious,” Visage wrote. “You were and remain so very loved. This world has lost an angel and we want you to soar high…..I love you so much honey.”

Fans across the world are also expressing their sorrow, sharing personal stories about how Jiggly’s performances, activism, and openness helped them embrace their identities or find comfort during difficult times. Her legacy as a trans woman of color in mainstream drag culture remains a powerful symbol of resilience and representation.

Jiggly Caliente was not just a television personality—she was a mentor, a cultural icon, and a beacon of love and laughter. As her family prepares to honor her life, the outpouring of support shows just how many lives she touched.
