Who is Shroud?

Michael Grzesiek, aka Shroud, is a Canadian YouTuber, broadcaster, professional Valorant player, and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. His YouTube channel has over 6.79 million subscribers, and his Twitch account has more than 10 million followers. This makes him the 9th most popular channel on the site as of April 2022.

Shroud makes videos over a range of games, but he tends to focus more on first-person shooters and battle royale games. PUBG, CS: GO, Apex Legends, Valorant, as well as Escape from Tarkov are his most played video games. But he has also invested a significant amount of time and effort in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, World of Warcraft, and GTA V videos.

Shroud began gaming during the launch of the global offensive. He rose to fame via his broadcasting online, which garnered him countless accolades from top players of this game. After playing for Manajuma, he joined Complexity Gaming as a stand-in player. In August 2014, Complexity Gaming was acquired by cloud9, and by default, Shroud became a fixed team member.

Since then, he became the second longest-standing team member until he retired in August 2017. He retired from professional Counter-strike in April 2018 and left cloud9 to join Sentinels. Some of his ad campaigns include those with Logitech and J!NX. Shroud also has his own merch store with the same name for his fans and followers to purchase online.
