Cassie Testifies Diddy Threatened and Assaulted Her Over Secret Romance With Kid Cudi

The courtroom drama surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex crimes trial intensified Tuesday as Cassie Ventura, the music mogul’s ex-girlfriend and one of the key witnesses, revealed shocking new details about a violent encounter allegedly sparked by her brief relationship with rapper Kid Cudi.

Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura Fine, took the stand in Manhattan on May 14 and shared a harrowing account of the moment Diddy discovered she was romantically involved with Cudi. According to her testimony, the revelation triggered an explosive and dangerous outburst from Combs — one she said left her bruised, fearful, and deeply shaken.

A Hidden Relationship That Turned Dangerous

Ventura testified that she began seeing Kid Cudi (real name Scott Mescudi) in 2011, after their professional connection evolved into something more personal. At the time, she was still in a relationship with Combs, which had begun when she was just 19. Cassie did not inform Combs about her new romance, fearing his reaction.

Her fears were realized during one of Combs’ now-infamous “freak offs” — alleged parties centered around sexual performances and drug use, which Cassie and others have claimed were orchestrated by the hip-hop mogul. While at one of these events, Combs reportedly discovered incriminating emails on Ventura’s phone. The emails, between Cassie and Diddy’s assistant Capricorn Clark, included plans to bring Cassie’s toiletry bag to Kid Cudi’s house the following day.

That discovery allegedly set Combs off.

In a later confrontation, she testified that Combs kicked her in the back, knocking her to the floor. She also accused him of threatening to harm both her and Cudi, and of planning to release explicit videos from their time together if she didn’t comply. The abuse left her with a large bruise, which she later photographed. These photos were shown in court as evidence.

Additionally, Cassie testified that when she returned to her hotel room, she found urine on the floor, overturned furniture, and a toilet filled with excrement — signs that, she suggested, pointed to further intimidation tactics by Combs or his associates.

A Chilling Pattern of Abuse

This is not the first time Kid Cudi’s name has come up in relation to Diddy’s alleged threats. In a 2023 civil lawsuit — which was settled out of court within 24 hours — Cassie stated that Combs once told her he would “blow up” Kid Cudi’s car. That chilling claim was later supported by reports that Cudi’s vehicle did indeed explode in his driveway, though no charges or direct links were ever made public at the time.

Now, under oath, Cassie is connecting the dots in a narrative that paints Combs as a violent, controlling figure who lashed out when he couldn’t maintain power over her — both emotionally and physically.
