Have you heard of the famous saying, “take care of your body; it’s the only place you have to live“? I bet you have, and it might sound cliche, but it still holds true today. We only have one temple to live in, and we only get to live in it once. If our temple crumbles, it crumbles to the ground, and there’s no turning back once this happens. Unfortunately, no one is exempted from our bodies’ imminent crumbling, not even Hollywood superstars. So, let us find out about Ashton Kutcher condition and what he has learned from dealing with it.

Who is Ashton Kutcher?

Christopher Ashton Kutcher, popularly known as Ashton Kutcher, is a renowned American actor and TV personality. Before he became an actor, Ashton entered the Fresh Faces of Iowa modeling contest and won a trip to NYC. There, he attended the International Modelling and Talent Association Convention. He enrolled at the University of Iowa to pursue a degree in Biochemical Engineering but eventually dropped out and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his modeling career.

After becoming a successful model, Kutcher played the role of Michael Kelso in the series That 70’s Show. It was his first acting stint, and it ran from 1998 to 2006. From there, Kutcher played different roles in several films and starred in some MTV shows.

Kutcher dated famous actress Demi Moore in 2003. They made rounds in the media due to their 15-year age gap, Kutcher being the younger of the couple. The notorious pair married in 2005 in an intimate wedding ceremony at the Kabbalah Centre. However, in 2011, Moore publicized her intention to divorce Kutcher due to his alleged unfaithfulness in their relationship. In 2013, the couple officially divorced.

What is Ashton Kutcher Condition?

After two years, Ashton Kutcher revealed to the public that he suffered from a super-rare disease that took his hearing, vision, and balance. In Access Hollywood’s exclusive sneak peek at National Geographic’s “Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge” upcoming episode, Kutcher spoke for the first time about the autoimmune disorder that he suffered.

Kutcher remarked in an interview, “Like two years ago, I had this weird, super rare form of vasculitis that like knocked out my vision, it knocked out my hearing, it knocked out like all my equilibrium. It took me like a year to build it all back up. You don’t really appreciate it until it’s gone until you go.” He added, “I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to see again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to hear again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to walk again.”

However, amid the scary ordeal that he went through, the actor remained positive and hopeful. We can’t help but take encouragement from his admirable strength and resilience. In the interview, he explained how he viewed his struggle as an opportunity to persevere and make the best out of a worse situation.

Kutcher further said, “The minute you start seeing your obstacles as things that are made for you, to give you what you need, then life starts to get fun, right? You start surfing on top of your problems instead of living underneath them.”

What Is Vasculitis?

Ashton Kutcher suffered from an autoimmune disorder called vasculitis. As reported by the Mayo Clinic, vasculitis affects the inflammation of the blood vessels. This inflammation restricts blood flow, which could then damage an affected person’s organs and tissues. If worse comes to worst, a person suffering from vasculitis may experience an aneurysm. And if an aneurysm explodes, the affected person may experience hemorrhage and, eventually, death.

Vasculitis’ general symptoms may include fatigue, headache, fever, aches and pains, and weight loss. In case the disease progresses, the severe symptoms to look out for are ulcers, dizziness, blindness, shortness of breath, and bleeding beneath the skin.

The exact cause of this rare disease isn’t fully understood yet. Mayo Clinic writes, “Some types are related to a person’s genetic makeup. Others result from the immune system attacking blood vessel cells by mistake.”

It is still unclear as to what type of vasculitis Kutcher suffered.

There are so many lessons to get from Ashton Kutcher’s response to the struggle he went through. Imagine waking up with your eyesight, hearing, ability to walk, and maybe, the will to live gone in a snap. These are all the abilities we need to survive daily.
