Who is MrWhoseTheBoss?
Arun Rupesh Maini is the British YouTube influencer behind the giant of a tech channel, Mrwhosetheboss.
Maini began his career as a YouTuber by uploading video game content and transitioned to smartphone-related videos after receiving his first smartphone at 14. A handsome number of viewers watched his smartphone video, and its performance exceeded his expectations. From then on, Maini knew what he wanted his niche to be.
While spending his internship at an accounting firm in London, the influencer spent his spare time thinking of novel YouTube video ideas. He was offered an entry-level job with decent earnings at the end of his internship. However, Maini focused on his YouTube career, letting the offer pass.
Maini's early content focused on anything smartphone, reviews included. As his channel ballooned, he extended the premise of his content by covering cars, laptops, and other gadgets, including a vacuum cleaner. Aside from reviews and tutorials, Maini uses his platform to discuss substantial topics, such as media manipulation by big techs.
In 2015, Maini's makeshift 3D hologram projector tutorial went viral. It is the most-viewed video, and it caught the media's attention, including CNBC and The Daily Dot.
His persistence and focus as an influencer have paid off as he has amassed 15.5M YouTube subscribers, 1.8M followers on TikTok, 1.7M on Twitter, 1.4M on Instagram, and 690K on Facebook.
