Safiya Nygaard is a prominent American YouTube beauty and fashion influencer for her creative and engaging content.
Before becoming a YouTube influencer, Safiya started her career in 2015 as a producer at BuzzFeed, where she co-created the Ladylike series. Two years later, she left the company to start her own YouTube channel dedicated to millions of subscribers and avid fans.
Unlike the typical beauty and fashion YouTube channel, Safiya draws fans and followers through her bizarre and creative content that doesn’t just revolve around tutorials and product reviews. Her viewers love her quirky and comedic approach to what seems like a ‘well-put’ industry.
A few of her unique content that made noise among the beauty community on YouTube include wearing nine-foot-long pants for a week or thigh-high Ugg boots and her ever-famous Bad Beauty Science video, where she mixed all of her liquid lipsticks, highlighters, foundations, and eyeshadows to create an entirely new product. In fact, she gained credit for starting a viral YouTube trend of mixing large amounts of one type of beauty product.
The influencer has over 9.7 million subscribers on YouTube, 2 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, and 72K on Facebook.

Colonial Williamsburg Collaboration
The world’s largest US history museum, Colonial Williamsburg, collaborated with the influencer to explain historical fashion and tour viewers around the museum. Best of all, she placed on a pedestal the tradespeople who craft the beautiful and authentically-reproduced 18th-century costumes, outfits, wigs, and accessories in the museum.
ColourPop has regularly maximized influencer marketing to advertise the brand and its products. Hence, working with famous influencers, Safiya included. Their partnership forged a six-piece lipstick collection that went out of stock just a few days following its release.
Footwear brand Crocs tapped Safiya for a sponsored Instagram post on Croc Day on October 23, 2022. The influencer claimed that even if it weren’t a sponsored post, she still would’ve posted about Croc Day in celebration of her comfy Crocs items.
